Oy Bar, formerly known as the Oyster House, opened in 1972, and it remains a neighborhood fixture, doing business next to an auto service shop in an inconspicuous San Fernando Valley shopping center on Moorpark Street. Now, Strauss has set his sights on Studio City’s Oy Bar, bringing the Jeff’s Table sensibility to its bar food.

The crust is crispy and chewy, just the way a really good pizza should be. I loved that the flavors were unique and showcased some really exceptional finds like fresh burrata cheese. cinch, they make the same pizza varieties in small, medium and large and you can adjust the toppings. I looked for the "best pepperoni pizza" in my area and Custom Pie from Moorpark came out on top. So, after a day of cleaning I wanted an indulgent dinner. Moreįor the first time in months I had the house to myself. All I wanted was a pizza with light brown crust and they lost their professionalism and a previously frequent customer. They also should have treated me with respect as I treated them. A shame, as they were capable of making some good pizzas and still might if they would actually listen to customer preferences and get the crust right. I left, and after cutting off the crust, was able to salvage some of what was edible. A moment later he told me to leave, take the burnt pizzas and never return. At first he offered to remake the most badly overcooked / burnt pizza. I pointed out to the new owner that the pizzas were burnt and showed him the crust. I got there in 15 min and the pizzas were being boxed. The last time they told me the pizzas would be ready in 25 minutes. I finally would go early to pick up so that I cold ask them to take the pizzas out of the oven before they were overdone.
I would ask him to make light brown crust as they had for years, with mixed results.
